Anita Allen

Anita is an engineer, child/youth advocate, and consultant. She also serves as Executive Liason for the Melvin W Jones Foundation.  Anita earned the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida A & M University.

Anita is a Revenue Management Advisor at FedEx. She also is a member of the Board of Managers for the Shelby County Council PTA, VP of Legislation for Germantown School, and Publicity Chair for the Memphis Delta Region which she utilizes her engineering, project management, and consulting skills. She was also selected to represent the State of Tennessee at the Emerging Minority Leaders Conference.

Anita is a dedicated child/youth advocate and consultant. She is passionate about motivating and inspiring people to be the ‘best’ they can be.

Anita loves to travel and swim, but her most precious time is spent with her two children Antonio & Sydney. She also loves spending time with family and friends.

Je’Mia E. Jones

Je’Mia E. Jones is the Program Director for the state of Georgia-based programming for the Melvin W. Jones Foundation, Inc.  She is also the Program Director for their newest initiative Camp Strand, an Alopecia Areata camp for kids scheduled to launch late Summer 2014.  Je’Mia is a native of Chicago, yet has spent most of her adolescent years in Atlanta, GA.  She attended Westlake High School within the Fulton County School System and went on to further her education at Howard University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  While at Howard, Je’Mia was a Student Ambassador and was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.  She continued at Howard and completed a Master of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Je’Mia is a certified Speech- Language Pathologist working within the public school system as well as in the private sector.  She is currently an active member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, National Association of Neonatal Therapist, Howard University Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.  Je’Mia currently resides in East Point, Georgia.  Je’Mia enjoys mentoring, traveling, writing, and listening to live music in her spare time.
